India, Lucknow: The Foundation for Education was Excavated

The national curfew implemented in March due to Covid-19 was slowly lifted in the last four weeks. Therefore, the construction work of the new school in India started again and steadily advances. The foundation of the school building has been excavated and, as you can see, the concrete in the foundation has been completed.

The building is growing every day. The plan for the next months is to complete the foundation and to build the tie beam and the column up to the roof beam level. The special feature of this project is the installed construction site camera with which the donor and we can follow the development of the construction work.

The work on site is of course, only possible as long as the situation with Corona allows it. India has the third most cases worldwide; a rapid spread would have fatal consequences for the whole country. As soon as the situation worsens again, the construction work will be paused immediately. Safety first.

The Study Hall School is a huge project, which shall be completed and officially open in August 2021. We are curious to see how the future school building will advance in the following months because every progress being made is progress towards future education for more than 300 children. Only education opens disadvantaged children the door to a self-determined life. Therefore the school project in Lucknow is a great step for creating chances, and to show a path to break out of the cycle of poverty.
